Arguments For Hunting

The reason why many hunters hunt is for the experience, to have an adventure and their love for nature and animals. After reseaching some research on this topic I found out that most hunters have some very deep feelings about hunting but they often find it difficult to express those emotions in a way others can understand. Also many put in mind that "Hunting has nothing to do with violence or aggression. Almost evey single hunter loves animals."

Hunters say that they see this sport as a tradition that tests their skills and abilities. For a hunter, it is not about the act of killing but rather survival and out witting their prey. To be truly successful a hunter must study its prey and learn their behaviours, habits and also tracks. The hunter must also need to know how to user their equipment effectivly. When hunters are asked why they hunt they normally say that hunting is one of the most basic instincts in mankind. They also say they hunt to be alone, to observe wildlife and to face a challenge.

Hunting can also be a means of pest control, a necessary component of modern wildlife management, for example to help maintain a population of healthy animals within an environment, in particular when specific predators do no longer exist.

Supporters of sport hunting activites highlight the fact that hunters pay to participate in a hunt. At the same time, hunters need to acquire yearly hunting licenses and they also have to pay fees and permissions to hunt on specific lands. It is important to mention that those fees go to the specific states to support land and habitat conservation.

In most cases hunters assume that their money goes to a good cause and they act in the name of conservation and environment protection. Hunting will thus lower the number of an overpopulated species. By this hunters take the strain off nature, help population control by ensuring a quicker, less painful death than starvation or disease for the wildlife.
